Project Ideas
I thought of looking at magazines, social networks online like myspace and facebook to dissect the messaging about what it is to be a teenage girl (body image, beauty, looks and style) in today's society and probably the differences in areas where they live or ethnicity. Any thoughts or suggestions guys?

Hey Priscilla,
I had a similar idea for the project, dealing with girls featured in facebook/myspace pictures and how they wish to present themselves. I read an interesting article about girls and the image they wish to create through smoking. I was thinking of relating it to teenage girls and drinking. It seems all you see on facebook/myspace are pictures that girls post of themselves when they are drunk. I don't know if this is what you were thinking of doing but we have the myspace/facebook aspect in common and the image that the girls are trying to put out there. We can talk more in class tomorrow if you want :)
